Unique holiday on a horse farm – stay in a charming train carriage in the middle of nature Welcome to a very special holiday experience in beautiful Fjärås! Here you will stay on a living horse farm, in a train carriage surrounded by tranquility, forest and open landscapes – a perfect getaway for those who long for peace, country life and proximity to animals and nature. The unique cottage is long and narrow with room for up to six people. There are two bedrooms – one with a comfortable double bed and one with two wall-mounted bunk beds. The bathroom is modern with a shower, toilet and tiled floor, and the fully equipped kitchen is open plan with the living room, where you can relax on the sofa in front of the TV (please bring your own Chromecast, Apple TV, tablet or computer – HDMI connection is available). Stay close to the animals The owners live on the farm and from the train carriage you are close to the horses, who are happy to receive a pat or a carrot from friendly guests. The wildlife is rich and it is not uncommon to see deer, fallow deer, cranes and birds of prey. With a little luck you will also catch a glimpse of foxes, wild boars or even moose! The farm is located close to nature but still with good access to excursion destinations. Only a stone's throw away rises Fjärås Bräcka - a dramatic ice edge formation with magnificent views, swimming areas, fishing, beautiful hiking trails and Halland's largest burial ground from the Iron Age. Don't miss a visit to the nature center and the cozy café with organic and homemade food. Swimming in both lakes and the sea You live close to both forests, lakes and the sea, with nice lake swimming at Navsjön and Lyngern, and salty dips at Gottskär's picturesque coast or Tjolöholm's castle beach. The area also has several lakes with good fishing (fishing license required) and golf courses for those interested in sports. The nearest convenience store is in Gällinge (4 km) and for larger purchases it is convenient to shop in Kungsbacka (28 km).
